GUEST:
So my wife and I went to a local auction and acquired it there. We bought this and a silver tea set for $250.

APPRAISER:
The robe is in great condition. It is exactly what it purports to be, but it does not date to that earlier period, but that's not its fault. It dates to the late 19th century.

GUEST:
Okay.

APPRAISER:
Great shape, very fine example. An estimate would put this in the $5,000 to $8,000 range at auction.

Excellent.
